Heavy Equipment Operators – Precision and Power
Powerline construction relies heavily on our heavy equipment operators. Whether we’re working in the country or tight urban spaces, our operators handle diggers, cranes, backhoes, and bore rigs to ensure every project runs smoothly.
Equipment Our Operators Use:
Digger Derricks – Essential for setting power poles and digging pole holes
Bucket Trucks – Providing aerial access for line installation and repair
Cranes – Used for lifting transformers, poles, and other heavy materials
Backhoes & Hydro Excavators – Digging trenches for underground electrical systems
Directional Bore Rigs – Installing underground conduits without disturbing the surface

Understanding of excavation and drilling safety protocols
Ability to work in a variety of conditions, including hot summers and rainy seasons

Groundman – Supporting Every Step of the Job
A powerline crew wouldn’t be complete without the hard work of our groundmen. These essential team members support the entire operation by handling tools, assisting linemen, and preparing job sites for safe and efficient work.
Responsibilities of a Groundman:
Assisting linemen with equipment setup, wire pulling, and material handling
Digging trenches and preparing worksites for installations
Operating smaller tools and assisting with pole framing and assembly
Ensuring job sites are safe, organized, and ready for work

What We Look for in a Groundman:
Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor labor
Basic knowledge of powerline construction and electrical work
Willingness to learn and develop skills toward becoming a lineman or equipment operator
Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours
